Sensational ending with an adrenaline kick

17.10.2021 - 16:41

Traditionally, thousands of mountain bikers celebrate the start of the new season at the FSA BIKE Festival Garda Trentino every year. This year, postponed to October due to the pandemic restrictions, the 27th edition of the prestigious event brought 40,000 visitors to the end of the cycling season of 2021 together.

But before the gates to the Expo were closed, there were a few more highlights today, as the last day of the festival. The adrenaline level was once again pushed to the top in the 'Enduro-Challenge'. Numerous downhill specialists proved their riding skills on the brand new course, which was more direct and even more technical than the years before and for the first time in many years started and ended directly at the festival site. Four stages with a total of 1,170 metres of downhill were on the programme. The five transfer sections with a total of 29 kilometres and 1,570 metres of altitude had to be pedalled off by bike. After the race,

Following the footsteps of the adults, the youngsters moved with great ambition today. Hundreds of young talents between the ages of 3 and 14 thrilled their parents at the 'Junior Trophy'. Everyone was a winner here. That's why every young talent was gifted a finisher's medal directly at the finish line in recognition of their great performance. Afterwards, the winners of the different age groups were honoured at the podium and got beautiful prizes- all on the main BIKE stage. Afterwards, all the youngsters were allowed to celebrate their successful day together.

The large number of participants and the great atmosphere proved it: The FSA BIKE Festival Garda Trentino is also cult in autumn! But most people agree: next year's festival in Riva should be a prelude instead of a finale. And it will be. The date has already been set: from 29th of April to 1st of May 2022, the season will once again traditionally start at Lake Garda.
